Crossroads of Learning
Provides “Tutoring Foundations” individually mentored tutor training courses, as well as a Train-the-Trainer and consumable workbook program for face-to-face training. The curriculum was developed in conjunction with the Fielding Graduate University and the National Tutoring Association (NTA), an organization that trains and certifies tutors across the country. The online training program is self-paced, self-scheduled, requiring approximate 20 learner hours for an individual module (Basic, Int. and Advanced) or 45-60 hours for the Comprehensive program (all three modules.) Learners engage in research based and tested practices which lead to student retention, student success, tutor certification, program certification, and optional Continuing Education Credits for professionals following a development program. National standards provide a common focus for goal setting and a set of tools for identifying any program components’ strength or weakness.
